Photography evolves from my heart. I watched my father document family events and create photo logs of his travels creating stories of life…one such travel log very close to my heart was his WWII photo journal. Therefore, my statement, “from my heart.” I create photos as an extension of my father’s legacy. I am his daughter…an emerging photograhper and artist who is in love with creativity. My genres are my emotions, my present perspective on life coloring my work. Portraits, figurative, abstract…my emotions.

“The agony and the joy of being creative is so bound to the journey and that final destination! I feel so empowered and renewed each time I paint or write or take a photo. I journey in this life to touch my dreams. I love the feeling of being creative, but there is also the artist mind…never resting and forever thinking and creating. I see the world in a new light each day… a new way to look at something ordinary and making it evolve into something uniquely different. Oh the beauty of being a creative soul. I see the light and walk away from the old into the new each and every day. The artist side of Sheilah paints in acrylic and oil to create figurative, abstract, and collage work.”
